Save Muny Lions Municipal Golf Course is the oldest public golf course in ATX & 1st to desegregate in the South

With your help, Austin's historic Lions Municipal golf course and green space can still be saved from development. While the University of Texas has voted to let the city’s lease expire in 2019, a development plan has not been finalized. It is imperative that we continue to work to influence city officials and the University of Texas to facilitate a solution that does not involve destroying 150 acres of treasured central Austin green space. We are confident a resolution that benefits both the University of Texas and the Austin Community is achievable. -- Save Muny

It's where kids pick up their first club, learn the game and fall in love with it. Preserving Muny means keeping that door open for the next young golfer with big dreams. 💚

Young legend and familiar face at Muny🏌️‍♂️Jaden Davis is a second generation Muny supporter and a coach to the next generation at Austin Golf Academy! Jaden played a great game in the 2026 Firecracker Open this Summer, and is constantly improving his skills out at Muny. Next time you see him around the course coaching the kids or playing a round with his dad, Eddy Davis Art, make sure to say “Hi!” 💚
