Green Leaders Project Spotlight 10/10: Environmental Defense Fund!

Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is a global nonprofit organization tackling climate change.

The Environmental Policy Fellowship offers individuals an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience and establish a strong foundation for a career in energy and environmental advocacy and policy. Over 12 weeks, fellows will work closely with EDF’s Energy Transition team, focusing on carbon management and hydrogen initiatives in Texas.

Green Leaders Project Spotlight 9/10: Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance (GEAA)! 💧

GEAA promotes effective broad-based advocacy for protection and preservation of the Edwards and Trinity aquifers, their springs, watersheds, and the Texas Hill Country that sustains them. Their Green Leaders Fellow will assist the GEAA Policy Director in their research projects and policy/advocacy writing and communications. Focus areas include political science, research, and environmental studies.

TreeFolks' mission is to empower Central Texans to build stronger communities through planting and caring for trees. Their Native Tree Nursery Fellowship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a nonprofit tree nursery while developing resources to help others replicate TreeFolks’ success. Focus areas include environmental conservation and community engagement.

Travis Audubon promotes the enjoyment, understanding, and conservation of native birds through inclusive environmental education, habitat protection, restoration, and management, and conservation advocacy. They're looking for a Green Leader to assist with land management tasks of Blair Woods, as well as the education programming that is scheduled on the property. Focus areas include hands-on restoration work, land management, and verbal/written communication skills.
