Density512

Density512 is a chamber orchestra and collective of brave and open musicians in Austin, TX.

We produce imaginatively curated experiences, amplify the voices of groundbreaking and emerging artists, and cultivate interdisciplinary collaborations. Since entering Austin’s new music scene in 2016, Density512 has presented numerous performances featuring world premieres and the works of living composers. Throughout that time, Density512 has remained committed to bringing music into Austin’s c

ommunity spaces including breweries, children’s museums, art galleries, co-working spaces, restaurants, and theaters. Density512 participated in Fast Forward Austin’s 2018 new music festival, in nine performances of Ragnar Kjartannson’s kinetic sculpture S.S. Hangover at The Contemporary Austin, and as featured performers in the Blanton Museum of Art’s Soundspace series. Other local collaborations have included projects with the Austin Chamber Music Center, Liminal Sound Series, Silent Films Out Loud, and Golden Hornet.
