Please join us for the Uranium Film Festival!
March 18th, 6-9:30 PM at AFS Cinema, 6259 Middle Fiskville Road. We'll host two award-winning films - Atomic Bamboozle debunks the theory that more nuclear power should be used to combat climate change and Downwind highlights the impacts of 928 US nuclear detonations on Indigenous and other communities. The films festival arrives here as Texas faces proposed small modular reactors and ongoing legal battles to keep high-level radioactive waste from being dumped here or in nearby New Mexico.

SEED Coalition is working to halt dangerous high-level radioactive waste proposals that threaten Texas and New Mexico. Nuclear reactor waste could be shipped by rail across the country, creating risks from leaks, accidents and potential sabotage. We can protect the health and safety of our future generations by acting now.

The comment period on the WCS license application ends on October 19, 2018.

An editable comment letter you can send will soon be online at www.NoNuclearWaste.org!

Our Protect Texas from Radioactive Waste Tour kicks off on Sept. 24th with a community meeting in Houston. We'll host press conferences and community meetings across the state - in San Antonio, Dallas, El Paso, Midland and Andrews, cities that are along rail lines. In fact, Andrews is targeted as ground zero to get 40,000 tons of this deadly waste, for 40 years... or longer. We can stop this unnecessary risky plan!
