Math shows up everywhere: A farmer's yield report. A nurse's dosage chart. A small business owner's balance sheet. Many students leave school without ever seeing that connection. For a long time, math education offered one road, built for one destination. Students whose strengths pointed toward other paths counted themselves out. Not because they lacked ability, but because the road never met them where they were headed. States are building more roads: toward data science, statistics, and calculus. Each one real. Each one worth the effort.
