PechaKucha Night Austin PechaKucha rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. We are fortunate to have so much local talent to cull from.

PechaKucha Night Austin is part of the global Pecha Kucha Night phenomenon. Together with Art Alliance Austin, the PK organizers present the Austin edition of "PechaKucha Night," a controlled creative convergence – where architects, artists, musician, performers, idea activists and designers meet to showcase their work in a very unique, high-energy format. Japanese for chit-chat, Pecha Kucha is the brainchild of Klein-Dytham Architecture of Tokyo, and since 2003 has spread to close to 300 cities across the world, including Austin. We host events on a quarterly basis, relying on our curatorial board to help us sift through entries, find provocative presenters and identify great talent. Don't miss out on the energy or the chit chat that follows the presentations. Pecha Kucha Austin was founded by Carla Fraser and Herman Dyal. Co-Directors are Lana McGilvray and DJ Stout. Art Alliance Austin supports production of the event.
