TAJ is on a mission to end the criminalization of our communities, and to demolish the legacy of racism in the justice system, to break down barriers to reentry from prison and jail in Texas. We believe no true, long-lasting change in the way our society deals with incarceration will be altered unless that change effort is led by those whose lives and communities have been directly impacted. We u

se our personal stories and direct experience with incarceration to build power and lead campaigns to transform the criminal justice system and build safe and healthy communities. TAJ unites justice involved individuals, their families, people of faith, and allies to build safe and resilient communities through organizing, leadership training, and linkages to community resources.

Tonight at 7910 Cameron, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. we'll be talking about the ins and outs of building campaigns, or community-based efforts to change policy that affects you and your boo and your momma and that homie down the street.
And we will have Ben Elias from the Other Ones Foundation lay out the options in housing for those who don't really HAVE options because of their CJ history or their dusty pocketbooks.
Did I mention food? AND pralines?
