Addicus was a beloved rescue dog and through her legacy we want to save and rehome as many adoptable dogs as possible! Please share this page and encourage friends that are interested in getting a dog to adopt from a rescue and not support pet store puppy mills. There is an over population of dogs and we really do not need to be breeding more! Educate! Spay/Neuter! Rescue! We save many dogs from i

ncredibly high kill shelters, in some cities the crisis is so terrible, they euthanize 5,000 dogs a year! Most of the dogs are adopted in Texas and in the New England area, but let us know if you fall in love with one you see online! We did the same thing, that's why we saved them! Addicus' Legacy is always looking for people provide "foster homes" in the New England area and Texas for the dogs we rescue. That means providing a temporary place for one of the dogs to stay until we can find them their "furever home". Did you realize that by just giving a pooch a place to crash you are actually saving their life? The dogs are usually adopted in approximately 1-4 weeks. Our beauty, Larissa, is going to live in Maine with her dad and go to work with him at his art studio 🩵
We rescued Larissa from Houston....she lived in a park for years and raised her puppies (we have her son now). It took months for street rescuers to catch her.
So excited for this sweet girl!

Happy Sunday from the cutest little family. ❤️

We recently rescued this sweet scruffy mama and her brand-new babies. And we know Dad was a Boston Terrier, so scruffy mama + Boston Terrier = these babies are going to be ridiculously cute.

But can we talk about the size difference between the biggest baby and the tiny runt?! 😂 Same litter. Same age. Very different plans.

Mama is safe, her babies are safe, and everybody gets to grow up surrounded by love. That’s a pretty good Sunday. ❤️🐾

Kona came to us from a horrible shelter in Mexico, where her chances of ever making it out were slim to none.
Well… Kona has officially had the last laugh.

She was adopted by an amazing family in Austin and now lives a life most of us can only dream about. She hosts parties for her dog friends. She travels all over the U.S. She just left Switzerland and is currently enjoying Italy. 🇮🇹

Yes. The little dog who once sat in a Mexican shelter wondering if anyone was coming for her is now basically an international jet-setter.

Meet Chloe. ❤️

Late last night, we saw Chloe on the euthanasia list at the San Antonio shelter. She was scheduled to die this afternoon.
Chloe’s story broke our hearts. She was first adopted from this same shelter as a puppy in 2015. She returned in 2021, and this week, she found herself there for a third time. She was microchipped, but when her owner was contacted, they said they didn’t want her back.
At the shelter, Chloe was trembling. She was scared, confused, and still incredibly sweet.
But tonight, Chloe is safe. No more shelter. No more being left behind.

At 11 years old, she gets a brand-new beginning with us. And this time, we’re going to make sure she gets the ending she deserves. ❤️

(Our incredible volunteers immediately scrambled to save her. Today, Valerie dropped off her foster dog to leave on transport for her adopter up north, then turned right around and drove to San Antonio to pick up Chloe. We have the BEST volunteers)🩵💙
