Addicus' Legacy Dog Rescue

Addicus' Legacy Dog Rescue Addicus' Legacy Dog Rescue in New England and Texas saves animals from high kill shelters and finds them forever homes. We always need fosters & adopters!

Addicus was a beloved rescue dog and through her legacy we want to save and rehome as many adoptable dogs as possible! Please share this page and encourage friends that are interested in getting a dog to adopt from a rescue and not support pet store puppy mills. There is an over population of dogs and we really do not need to be breeding more! Educate! Spay/Neuter! Rescue! We save many dogs from i

ncredibly high kill shelters, in some cities the crisis is so terrible, they euthanize 5,000 dogs a year! Most of the dogs are adopted in Texas and in the New England area, but let us know if you fall in love with one you see online! We did the same thing, that's why we saved them! Addicus' Legacy is always looking for people provide "foster homes" in the New England area and Texas for the dogs we rescue. That means providing a temporary place for one of the dogs to stay until we can find them their "furever home". Did you realize that by just giving a pooch a place to crash you are actually saving their life? The dogs are usually adopted in approximately 1-4 weeks. Sadly funds for Grace were stolen by dishonest people posting accounts and messages that had nothing to do with her actual rescue group. She is an Addicus Dog. We have received many messages about this situation. Here is clarification:

Grace will be at a vet for at least 10 days...we are doing a cutting edge treatment for her that we hope gives her some mobility back. Her pelvis is broken, a vertebrae is crushed....and of course, she has heartworms. πŸ’” Grace has a long road ahead. We got her a bed, nutritious food, toys and chew bones to keep her comfy during her hospital stay. She is already starting to look better. Thank you for helping us, help Grace. ❀
(And yes, our finance team is looking into where the money went. It is not cool to make money off suffering dogs and their FB posts.)

When we first saw Grace's eyes, they stopped us in our tracks.πŸ’”

The look of a dog who has never known kindness. A dog who has suffered far more than any living being should. Please help us help her.

Grace is a young street dog from South Texas who was hit by a car and left to fend for herself. Despite unimaginable pain, she kept fighting.

Today, Grace is receiving treatment from the very best veterinary team we could find. We have moved mountains to get her there, and she will remain hospitalized for at least the next 10 days as specialists work to give her the best possible chance at regaining mobility.

Her injuries are extensive. Grace is heartworm positive. She has a broken pelvis and fractured vertebrae. But she also has something we desperately hoped to see...movement in her legs.

We have seen this treatment help another dog before, and we are holding onto hope that it can help Grace too. Her road to recovery will be long, and there are no guarantees, but she finally has people fighting for her.

While Grace begins her healing journey, her sister Chloe needs help too. Chloe is safe, but she needs a foster home in the Austin area. She is timid and sweet, like Grace. Around 30lb. They look like twins. They lived on the streets together.

If you can foster Chloe, please apply today:

Sad story...please help us turn this situation into a happy one. πŸ’”

Eve is being returned to Addicus due to a dog allergy. She is a great companion dog and easy-going. She just doesnt want to live around other dogs. That's her only requirement.

She is headed back to Texas from the Northeast tonight, and will be in boarding in Austin until we find a foster or adopter for her. All so very sad...she has lived in a home for years. Please send us a message if you can help - again, she needs a home with no other dogs. She enjoys naps and easy walks. She is not high energy and completely house trained.

We can change gears and place her in a foster home up north if we hear from someone quickly - otherwise she has a 3 day trip to get back to Austin, where she started.

πŸ†˜πŸ†˜πŸ†˜πŸ†˜To our supporters up North - we need help! Eve is being returned from an adopter up north due to no fault of her own (her boyfriend is allergic to dogs).

We are looking for a foster home, or adopter, where she is the only dog. She is around 7-8y and has decided she likes getting all the love in her home...she is chill and easy. Happy to take a walk and then relax around the house. She would be a perfect dog for a senior - or anyone looking for a companion.

If we dont get help, she wil be taking a 3 day trip back to Texas and then living in boarding (until we find a foster). This will be a real blow to Eve - she is used to home life.

PLEASE help us- please text 773 551 8303
