Austin’s most infamous day of climbing returns! The Tour das Hügel is back for another year of hills, heckles, and heroics.

Meetup: 7:00 AM
Rollout: 7:15 AM sharp
Location: Zilker Park — off Stratford Road under Mopac

This is a self-supported ride on open roads — there are no road closures, no support vehicles, and no guarantees. Everyone rides at their own risk. Please make smart decisions for yourself and others, especially on descents, crossings, and through traffic.

Important Notes:

🚧 Spicewood Springs Road Construction: Expect ongoing work zones and potential detours — ride cautiously and don't hesitate to reroute to avoid if you feel uncomfortable on this stretch of road.

🌊 Mansfield Dam Low Water Crossing: Conditions vary on the descent — check before crossing and always prioritize safety.

Community Support:

🥞 Breakfast Club returns at the top of Terrace Mountain with their infamous party — you'll see it before you hear it.

💪 FCTN Racing will yet again be off of River Place offering theior premium support!

🦉 Night Owls Racing will be out in full force again, keeping spirits high and riders rolling at the start/finish.

It’s officially fall…kind of, so y’all know what that means!

Tour das Hugel is back for another year and taking place on Saturday, 11/08.
- Zilker Park meetup under Mopac(Stratford Drive)
- 7am meetup
- 7:15 rollout

We’re super excited to announce that Breakfast Club, & will be back again in 2025 to provide support!

Hope you're all excited for this weekend's ride! Similar to last year, One of Hugel's participants has put together a fun website to track your efforts. Participation, like the ride, is 100% optional, but wanted to share in case others wanted to join in. This year a shorter route option on the website is also included! Details below.

If you’re planning to take on the Tour Das Hügel this weekend, there is a website to track this year's results. This will hopefully encourage you to push through and finish or maybe even create some fun competition among friends.
- The website is: https://dashugel.bike.
- The leaderboard will only track your times on all the famous climbs. This is designed to avoid encouraging any dangerous activities on the road. Please follow traffic laws and be safe out there! If you are riding uphill, there is a good chance that time counts. :smile:
- The results page will offer a lot of fun data to see how you stack up against everyone else.
- This site was hacked together as a side project to give back to this amazing community. If you run into any issues/bugs, please email [email protected]
:internet-problems: Strava has very strict and low rate limits. If lots of people sign up at the same time, some content will be temporarily unavailable, so please have some patience with the results.
To Get Your Results:
1. Connect to Strava on the site (unfortunately, I can only time participants who sign up)
2. Do the Das Hügel November 9th (this Saturday!)

- When: Saturday, 11/9 @ 7:00am Meetup

- Where: Under Mopac Off Stratford Next To Zilker

Given construction is still in progress along 360, we're sticking with the amended route from last year. We also made a small change to the route back to Zilker to avoid any confusion along the one-way roads for those completing the entire route.

Huge appreciation to Breakfast Club, FCTN Racing & Night Owls Racing for supporting TDH again in 2024!
- Breakfast Club will again be at the top of Terrace Mountain with warm biscuits & coffee!
- FCTN will again be manning the dual rest stop off of River Place & Big View.
- Night Owls Racing will again be providing hydration mix & "cold ones" at the start/finish.

All that said, it's important to remember that Tour das Hugel is not a race or an organized ride on closed roads. This route takes you on open roads like any other weekend route we all take on individually. If any of the construction, or really anything else, makes you feel unsafe during the ride, please find your way home the safest way you can.

Based on recent feedback, we just made an adjustment to the route. Apparently there is construction limiting the ability to ride through 4 Points via River Place.

We've adjusted the route based on feedback provided. We have not personally ridden this section that is proposed, but wanted to share in case other's ran into this.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all excited to saddle up tomorrow!

Reminder that we'll be meeting tomorrow morning @ 7:00am under Mopac on Stratford Drive.

Rollout will take place @ 7:15am.

Rest stops are as follows:
- Rest Stop #1: The return of the Breakfast Club Biscuits @ Terrace Mountain. This stop is at about mile 16.
- Rest Stop #2: This rest stop is being provided courtesy of Weaver Technologies racing. This will be a dual rest stop located at mile markers 70 & 88. Rest stop is located at River Place & Sun Tree Cove.
