Hi Allandale neighbors!

Just want to make sure everyone is aware of a significant boundary change being proposed for Gullett that would literally divide Allandale in half.

Austin ISD is proposing two scenarios for boundary changes: the Oak scenario and the Elm scenario. Under the Oak scenario, Allandale will be split in half between Gullett Elementary and Pillow Elementary. Everything north of Stoneway (e.g., Pinecrest, Greenlawn, Stardust, Skylark, Silverleaf, etc.) and north of Pegram (e.g., Ellise, Albata, Cascade, Richcreek, Silverway, etc.) would be zoned for Pillow Elementary.

This means that half of the Allandale neighborhood would have to commute a longer distance, across Anderson and across Steck. Likewise, the southern boundary for Gullett would extend into the Rosedale neighborhood, taking from Highland Park’s current attendance zone and forcing current Highland Park students to commute farther north to Gullett.

While the Elm scenario leaves Allandale’s boundary as-is, unfortunately, some of our neighbors in Crestview are shifted out of their neighborhood and would be moved from Brentwood Elementary to across Anderson Ln. to Wooten Elementary.

Please share this information with your friends and neighbors, fill out a comment card, and attend a boundary meeting.

Scenarios for Community Feedback View meeting schedule Austin ISD is officially resuming our districtwide boundary realignment process. This vital work is focused on building aligned feeder patterns and strengthening our neighborhood schools to ensure every student has a clear, supported path from k...

May 26, 2026 is the Texas primary runoff election date, which will include statewide offices, US Congressional and Senate offices, and county-level offices.

Duly registered voters may vote even if they did not vote in the March 3, 2026 elections.

Voters who did vote in the March 3rd election cannot switch party choices in the runoff.

MAY 15 is the LAST DAY to REQUEST a MAIL-IN BALLOT.

Travis County will use county-wide voting sites. The locations are posted at Upcoming Election (Primary Runoff) – Travis County Clerk

In Allandale, the EARLY Voting Sites are Ben Hur Shrine Center and Northwest Rec Center.

On Election Day, the polling places in Allandale are Rosedale (new) School at 7505 Silvercrest, Grace & Peace Austin (gym) 6301 Woodrow, Northwest Rec Center, and Ben Hur.

Leading up to the May 26th runoff election are these important dates:

Last Day to Apply for Ballot By Mail (BBM):
Friday, May 15, 2026

Early Voting Starts:
Monday, May 18, 2026

Early Voting Ends:
Friday, May 22, 2026

Election Day:
Tuesday, May 26, 2026

To confirm your voter registration status, you can visit the Texas Secretary of State’s Am I Registered? portal, which allows you to look up your voter registration record in the statewide voter registration database. The Secretary of State encourages you to contact your county voter registrar for specific questions regarding the status of your voter registration.

You can also visit www.VoteTravis.com!

Voter registration in Texas is county-based, meaning that if you registered in another County in Texas, you could update your address to Travis County to vote here, or go vote in your home county where you did register.

Or, you could vote by mail due to your absence from your home county (or for other eligible reasons).

Voting by mail involves advance planning so the ballot arrives on time, and nowadays the USPS does not necessarily postmark the ballot the same day you deposit it.

Texans who have recently changed their name or moved can easily update their voter registration online through Texas.gov. Click here to update your voter registration information online.
