As our newly graduated school leaders step into the 1-year Activation Phase, they are heading directly into their schools to minister to the families of their students. They are doing incredible, life-changing work, but they can't do it alone.

Our graduates are now stepping into the Activation Phase of the Equipping Program, where the next year will be focused on putting what they’ve learned into practice through real-world leadership and service.

At Makarios, we believe growth happens through both teaching and walking alongside one another in community. 🙏

We are grateful to welcome Logos Preparatory Academy as they serve alongside the Makarios community this week. 💙

From teaching classes at Mak School to learning about Dominican culture and healthy missions, their time here is centered on faith, service, and connection.
For more than 10 years, Logos Prep has faithfully sponsored the Makarios Class of 2026—a beautiful example of long-term partnership and encouragement through Christ-centered community. ✨

In the middle of difficult days, we experienced the beauty of unity in Christ. 💙

Our friends at Shine the Light came alongside us with food and water as we worked to clean and restore our facilities after the flood. Their presence reminded us that we are not walking this road alone.

And just last week, they surprised us again—bringing essential supplies for our art classroom, helping restore not just spaces, but moments of creativity and joy for our students.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

We are celebrating a meaningful milestone in Uganda. 💙

Congratulations to our newest graduates! These dedicated school leaders have officially completed the first phase of our Equipping Program.

The past nine months have been both rigorous and deeply rewarding—marked by learning, perseverance, and steady growth rooted in their commitment to serve their communities well.

We are grateful to witness their dedication and the way they continue to show up for the students and families they lead.

God is faithful in every step of this journey.

This past year has been filled with stories of restoration, growth, faithfulness, and lasting hope. Through Christian education, family empowerment, leadership development, and community partnerships, we continue to see God moving in powerful ways across the Dominican Republic and Uganda.
None of this happens alone.

Because of your prayers, generosity, and partnership, students are learning, families are being strengthened, and communities are being spiritually restored through the love of Jesus Christ.

One month after the flood, Makarios School is fully operational once again. 💙

This past month has been a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness through every challenge, every answered prayer, and every person who stepped in to serve alongside this community.

We are deeply grateful for the global body of Christ that came together to help reopen the school and support families during this season of rebuilding. Because of your generosity, prayers, and partnership, students are back in the classroom and the good news of Christ continues to be shared throughout Monte Plata.

Even in difficult seasons, we are seeing hope rise again. This experience has reminded us that God has placed Makarios here for a purpose, and we look toward the future with renewed hope and trust in His provision. 🙏
