Austin Area Urban League Young Professionals Committed to making a place where young professionals of color can empower their community, change lives, and thrive both socially and professionally!

One of the most common complaints about Austin is its lack of diversity and 'urban culture'. We (AAULYP's) are committed to helping make Austin a better city in both regards. The purpose and mission of the Urban League and the Young Professionals in particular is to provide young people with resources that encourage networking and interaction with social, cultural, educational and political institutions and to help cultivate innovative ideas and dynamic dialogue in Austin amongst “Young Professionals.”

The Austin Area Young Professionals is a program under the Austin Area
Urban League. We are comprised of key local talent, ages 21 to 40, who are committed to corporate, social and community engagement, political activism, positive cultivation and awareness, as well as improving and impacting underserved communities, minority business and social climate through networking and professional development. We’re proud to invite you to the Austin Area Urban League’s Juneteenth Celebration. ✊🏾

On June 13, we’re creating a space for the Austin community to come together and celebrate freedom, honor our history, and uplift each other.

Juneteenth is more than a date.

It’s a reminder of delayed freedom, enduring strength, and the responsibility we carry to build forward.

This event is rooted in care and protection. We are making sure our community has access to the resources, relationships, and spaces we deserve.

Join us for:
🎶 Live music
🎯 Games and outdoor activities
🏰 Bounce houses for families
🎉 Community resource tables
🌮 Food trucks and local vendors

Everything is designed to bring people together while connecting our community to support systems that make a difference.

When: Saturday, June 13, 2026 | 11:00 – 4:00 PM

Where: Turner Roberts Recreation Center | 7201 Colony Loop Drive

This is a space for us.
To celebrate. To connect. To continue the work.
We hope to see you there. 🖤

Before the lights. Before the crowd. Before the game…they showed up for the community.

Our players took time to give back, connect, and pour into others, because that’s the heart behind the HBCU Live Xperience, building legacy on and OFF the court.

Save the Date. ✊🏾

On June 13, we’re coming together as a community to honor Juneteenth, a day that reminds us of our history, our resilience, and the power of our collective freedom.

At the Austin Area Urban League, we believe spaces like this matter.
- Spaces where our stories are remembered.
- Spaces where our people are supported.
- Spaces where community shows up for community.

This year’s celebration is about more than a moment.
It’s about preserving what we’ve built and continuing what our ancestors started.
Join us for an afternoon rooted in culture, connection, and care.

Free resources. Shared joy. Community in motion.
