Safe Streets Austin www.safestreetsaustin.org We organize city-wide and neighborhood events for activities, volunteering, canvassing, and collaborating.

Safe Streets Austin is a movement to transform Austin’s streets, bikeways, and trails into safe, vibrant, and equitable places for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, roll, and gather. Long time advocacy organizations and champions of safe streets, Bike Austin, Walk Austin, and Vision Zero ATX have joined forces to create Safe Streets Austin, a local, non-profit organization. Safe Stre

ets Austin, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that leverages over 40 years of local advocacy experience, seeks to unite the community through grassroots engagement, build a common vision for streets and urban trails, and hold decision makers accountable for manifesting this vision. We facilitate and publicize demonstration projects, such as Living Streets installations, and we publicly celebrate successful programs and initiatives.

Hey Austin, we need to help City Council approve transportation funding by taking one of the following actions:

1) Speak at the July 23rd Council Meeting - This can be done in person or via phone. Meeting starts at 10am, and it’s unknown when the bond (item 4) will come up, so hang tight! Speaker registration closes noon on Wednesday 7/22

2) Can’t attend? You can still help by clicking the link in bio to indicate your support for item 4. Urge Council to vote YES on agenda item 4 to approve a transportation bond.
