The essential conceptual element of this organization is that “famous” does not necessarily equate to “role model.” Many black biographical series focus on telling the stories of successful athletes, musicians, and entertainers. Without examining whether these individuals have made concrete, genuine contributions and provided positive examples for their community and society at large mass media has crowned today’s celebrities as “role models.” We aim to depict “real role models” that illustrate the many roads to success for children of color and at-risk youth. To inspire youth to see themselves capable of achieving greatness outside of the current paradigm. While certain historic subjects and events are undeniably essential for inclusion. A Clever Production aims to distinguish itself through looking beyond the common cannon for may of its subject that have never had their story told on both a national and local level. We also serve the ancillary purpose of documenting everyday individuals who are vital to the advancement of black men and women that may not have received the attention they deserve through our core program the “Paradigm.”
