👏👏👏

A state panel that allocates funding to housing projects across California has awarded financing to an LGBTQ-affirming senior housing development in San Francisco. It was one of the last hurdles the project sponsors needed to clear in order to break ground on the 185 affordable apartments sometime in early 2027.

Mercy Housing California and nonprofit LGBTQ service provider Openhouse are jointly working on the mixed-use development to be built at 1939 Market Street on the corner with Duboce Avenue. It will be their third such housing site they have partnered on in that section of the city’s LGBTQ Castro district with the goal of seeing most of the housing be assigned to q***r and trans older adults.

How do issues of affordability, healthcare access, loneliness, and cultural/political environment affect YOU?

8,000 local LGBTQIA+ people have taken our survey since 2018, but we want to hear about YOU.

Visit QWELLBEING.ORG to take our 2025 annual ANONYMOUS survey by New Year’s Eve!

We can’t wait any longer.

Our nation is in crisis.

Our people are in pain.

Fear runs the show.

This is the right time to center Love in the cultural consciousness.

By broadcasting the National Pride Interfaith Service on television, thousands of LGBTQIA+ affirming spiritual leaders and millions of aligned people can speak one truth with many voices:

LGBTQIA+ people are sacred, whole, and welcome.

We stand in solidarity on the side of Love to create the Beloved Community.

We’re kicking off the Rainbow Rights Roadshow this weekend with our first two stops in Williamson and Travis County!

A lot happened during the legislative session, and we know you have many questions. In addition to the 7 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills that passed, 3 bills restricting access to healthcare for pregnant people also passed.

is partnering with other progressive organizations (including QWELL) and hitting the road to visit every corner of the state so we can meet directly with community members.

We’ll be sharing important legislative updates, learning about local community needs, distributing supplies (like binders, banned books, menstrual products, and much more!), signing folks up for FreePrideFlag.com, and having fun as a community!
