Reunions Suspended!
More than eighty years of celebrating the Busch Moehrig
Family history, heritage and extended family has come to
an end. May 3, 2015 , a group of 26 family members met
in the Old Forke Store and unanimously voted to suspend
the reunions owing to lack of attendance. Discussion of
possible suspension has been on the docket for the last five
years.

These are the original descendants from Germany. Julius Andreas Christian & Johanne Christiane Henriette (Gudehus) Moehrig. They came here to TX in 1850 on the ship "Solon"

This is the Moehrig house. They took it apart and reassembled it in Conservation Plaza in New Braunfels, TX. As I recall, this is not the house of the original family that came over from Germany, but one of their sons.

Hi ALL, just got this in an email from our editor:

Dear Busch-Moehrig Relatives,

Hi! I am Carolyn Remmler, the editor for the Busch-Moehrig Reunion Newsletter.

I am compiling the 2014 Newsletter. What would you like to share about your family? Graduations, marriages, births, deaths, travels, hobbies, career news... anything! Please email information and photographs by Sunday, February 23rd.

I have 42 relatives on my email list. (See attached file for first and last names.) Do you know any family members that would like to be added to the email list? We would like to connect with more people, and see more at the next reunion.

The person with the most submissions will win a pie at the reunion!

Our 2014 Reunion is scheduled for May 4th! The location is the same as last year. It is at the Forke Store, located in Conservation Plaza, in New Braunfels. Registration is at 11:30am, and lunch is at noon. Find out more information in the newsletter, coming soon!

Just wanted to let you know that the family reunion date has been changed as of the 2012 family reunion to now being scheduled on the 1 weekend of the month in May - on the respective Sunday.
