A year of opening doors, and we kept count.

In FY2026, The Latina Foundation:

Served 2,100 women
Hosted 25+ meetups across Austin and San Antonio
Welcomed 400 registrations for House of Chingonas
Graduated 11 of 15 Jefas on the Move founders

Those numbers are women who found a room where they belonged, met someone who knew someone, and walked into their next step with people behind them. Relationships open doors, and this year we watched a lot of them swing open.

Thank you to every woman who showed up, to our 20+ volunteers who made it all run, and to the partners who believed in this work with us: H-E-B, Frost Bank, USI Insurance Services, Ramos James Law PLLC, Austin Economic Development, Glimmer of Austin, the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Amy Cobb, The Confetti Crew, TIY Hair Ties, and Round Rock Express.

Today is National Latina Equal Pay Day ✨💸

At the Latina Foundation, today hits close to home. Our entire mission was built on the belief that every Latina deserves a welcoming community, equal opportunities, and fair pay at every step of her career.

But the numbers remind us why our work is far from over. According to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, the pay gap for Latinas has worsened to 52.6% 😒

While we celebrate the resilience and achievements of Latinas everywhere today, we also recognize the work ahead. Achieving true equity requires real change in policy, corporate standards, and systemic support.

We’re in this together—and we won't stop advocating until the gap is closed 👏

We talk a lot about the creator economy…but are we actually asking creators what they need? 👀

On October 28, The Latina Foundation is bringing Latina content creators together—in Austin AND virtually—to do exactly that.

We want to hear from you.

What’s working? What’s missing? Where are the gaps? And what could support from an organization like ours actually look like?

Contracts? Brand partnerships? Paid opportunities? Business education? Funding? Community? Ownership? Access to people and rooms you haven’t been able to get into yet?

Or maybe it’s something we haven’t even thought about.

We’re not coming into this conversation pretending we have all the answers. We’re coming to listen, learn, and figure out what we could build together.

Applications for The Latina Foundation’s 2027 Ambassador Program are now open!

We’re looking for Latinas across Central Texas and San Antonio who want to help us meet women where they are and strengthen connections in their own communities.

This is a year-long commitment to listening, building relationships, sharing resources, and helping bring local gatherings and initiatives to life. You’ll also have opportunities to grow your leadership through hands-on experience, connect with other Latinas, and help shape how we support your community.

The city you live in is the city you’ll represent, so please include your current city in your application.

Applications close October 15 at midnight CT. Interviews will follow, and we’ll introduce our 2027 ambassadors in November.

On December 5th, we’re bringing our comunidad together in Austin for The Latina Foundation’s most enchanting night of the year—a Winter Wonderland filled with connection, celebration, and purpose.
