Dancers have been called the athletes of God, but athleticism, strength, and endurance are only part of a dancer’s training. Precision, form, shape, volume, contrast, and story are all central to the craft as well. Pythagoreans considered geometry to be sacred, and a dancer constantly is creating and reshaping sweeping lines and forms, reflecting Euclid’s golden mean, the perfect ratio. Dance is sacred geometry in motion – truly one of the pinnacles of human art.
Through using motion tracking and machine learning, our hope is to help people see the shapes, symmetry, and precision in ways that might not be possible without extensive dance training.
