BCL of Texas is proud to celebrate 36 years of service today!

For 36 years, our work has been shaped by the people, communities, and small businesses we serve.

We began with a focus on small business and economic development in rural communities and small cities across Texas. That history continues to guide us today.

Over time, our work has grown. Today, we support communities through small business lending, consumer lending, homeownership programs, and community development.
Our purpose remains the same: helping people access the tools, capital, and support they need to move forward.

This fiscal year, BCL has approved and funded $9.26 million in loans. As we work toward our $50 million capital deployment goal for 2026–2030, we are proud of the progress our team is making.

We’re also celebrating our anniversary during Small Business & Economic Development Week, alongside our staff participating in events across Texas.

We are grateful for our history, proud of where we are today, and excited for the work ahead.
