Today, Dick and Joyce Moeller visited Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Loudon, TN. This congregation has been a supporter of Water to Thrive for 10 years and has funded 25 Water projects. We had a chance to visit with members of the congregation after the service to answer questions about the implementation of our water projects. Many great questions!
Our time this weekend gave us the opportunity to visit with Kandie Shubeck (& husband Charlie).... Kandie serves as W2T's Advocate.... as well as Paul Elbert (& wife Christine)....Paul serves on the W2T Board of Directors. Their service and support is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for following our Authors of Hope- The Beneficiary’s Journey series.

Together, these stories reveal a single truth: When clean water arrives, everything changes. Futures reopen. Dignity is restored. Leadership rises.

Hope takes root.

And behind each transformation is someone who chose to care — someone who believed that a stranger’s life was worth lifting.

Truly, an author of hope.

When we invest in water, we invest in futures like Rohobot’s, Zewde’s, and Madanet’s — futures once constrained by scarcity, now rising with possibility.

Dick and Joyce Moeller had a wonderful weekend visit with Nova Kolander and Dan Kolander in Marion & Iowa City IA. Dan and Nova are Water to Thrive's awesome Ambassadors for the area and we had a chance to greet and thank our many supporters at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to visit with many of our fellow travelers from our W2T 2019 mission trip. Many thanks to Dan and Nova for orchestrating a great weekend!

Dick and Joyce Moeller had a wonderful dinner with Ed and Rennie Scharlau in Cedar Falls IA tonight. First time the co-founders of Water to Thrive have been together in person in many moons. It was great to share the time together.

Madanet's transformation- storybook style!

In my village, Trachoma was everywhere, moving quietly from home to home and stealing the sight of those I loved. Without clean water, we were defenseless — every day a risk, every moment a reminder of our vulnerability.

When sanitation training team arrived, I stepped forward. I wanted safety, a different future. I built our latrine first, embracing change and stepping out of fear and into a new life.

When the well was built, my confidence grew into something larger.

Clean water gave me time, strength, and possibility.

Today, I run my own shop and stand as a leader in my community — someone my younger self never imagined she could become. Now younger girls come to me for guidance, watching how I work, speak, and lead.
