It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tonka, APD’s beloved Great Dane and founding member of our Pet Team. For six years, Tonka brought comfort and connection to our APD family, helping build a program that continues to support first responders through life’s most difficult moments. His gentle presence and lasting impact will never be forgotten.

Nothing humbles an already-questionable ETA quite like rain on I-35.

Here are a few reminders to help keep everyone moving safely:
• If your windshield wipers are working harder than usual, your right foot should probably not be.
• If the car in front of you feels a little too close, it probably is.
• If you miss your exit, there will be another one.
• If your route is flooded, it is no longer your route.

I-35 will still be I-35. Let’s not get overly ambitious.
