We are seeking interested speakers for a series of online sessions on Applications of Topology and Real Analysis.

Speakers should be current MS or Ph.D. students (or beyond) in a related field and willing to offer free, English‑medium presentations designed for undergraduate students. Sessions should be accessible, engaging, and application‑focused.

Possible Application Areas of Topology (not limited to these)
Clothing, Folding, and Deformation:
Topology helps explain how objects like clothing, blankets, or sheets can be stretched or folded without changing their essential structure—an intuitive way to introduce concepts such as equivalence classes and homeomorphisms.

Data Analysis:
Topological Data Analysis (TDA) is widely used in biology, neuroscience, and machine learning to study the “shape” of complex datasets and uncover meaningful patterns.

Robotics:
Topology plays a key role in motion planning and configuration spaces, helping robots navigate environments safely and efficiently.

Network Theory:
Topological ideas help analyze and optimize social, communication, and transportation networks.

Physics:
Topology is central to understanding modern physical phenomena, including topological insulators and other materials in condensed matter physics.

These examples highlight how topology connects deep theoretical ideas with real‑world applications. Speakers are welcome to present other applications as well, depending on their expertise and interests.

If you or someone you know would like to contribute, please reach out. This is a great opportunity to share knowledge, inspire undergraduates, and build teaching and presentation experience.
