Vivent Health LifePoint Austin Lifepoint program provides free syringes and safer injection supplies to people who inject drugs, as well as safe disposal of used syringes.

We are dedicated to harm reduction and providing judgement-free care to people who use drugs. Austin Harm Reduction Coalition has merged with Vivent Health, a nationally recognized leader in providing comprehensive prevention, care and treatment services to people affected by HIV. Vivent Health offers HIV prevention services for individuals at greatest risk for HIV including men who have s*x with

men, people who inject drugs, youth, and women. Vivent Health prevention specialists throughout Austin, Texas provide life-saving HIV prevention education, risk-reduction materials, and HIV counseling and testing.

Polysubstance use is more common than you think. Drinking while doing other substances is a very common form of polysubstance use. Chems*x can also involve using more than one substance.
Be safe, keep Narcan nearby. Have someone who knows what you're taking in case of an emergency. Test your supply.

Staying safe while using doesn't just include using sterile supplies and being trained on Narcan.
Getting regularly tested for Hepatitis C is important as well. If you've recently had unprotected s*x with someone who may have Hep C or have shared needles a quick test is all it takes.
