Fruitful Commons is proud to be one of 10 nonprofits selected for the Central Texas Climate Action Fund, a collaborative supporting climate solutions across our region.

By contributing to the Climate Action Fund, across Central Texas you are supporting
✨ community resilience, equity & education
🌞 energy & built environment
🌳 natural systems & land use

Climate Action Fund is now matching all donations up to $100,000 in efforts to benefit local communities and cascade to the world.

Fruitful Commons supports neighborhood leaders and organizations to grow food, strengthen communities, and foster stewardship of the natural commons. We cultivate climate resilience through expanding urban tree canopy, localized food systems, preservation of climate-adaptive seeds and fruit trees, and public educational programming.

Contributions to the Climate Action Fund support not only Fruitful Commons’ programs, but also the services we provide through our fiscal sponsorship program.

📸 Check out the photos to see the exciting work from these five projects we sponsor:

1-2: Central Texas Climate Philanthropy Collaborative
3-4: Festival Beach Food Forest where the community recently increased the food forest from ¾ acre to 3 acres!
5: Cuernavaca Community Garden is a thriving community growing food together
6: Central Texas Seed Savers whose mission is to prevent extinction of culturally, ecologically, and culinarily important plants
7-8: Friends of Grand Meadow Park cultivates a community around stewarding their wildflower meadow and will break ground this fall on a new food forest and community garden!
9: Onion Creek Park Neighborhoods Alliance is honoring the lives lost in the 2013 and 2015 floods with a Memorial Garden and Orchard. Check out the beautiful design for the future orchard!

Together, we are amplifying the power of community-led agriculture and land stewardship!
