The Pease Tree Project

The Pease Tree Project This will ensure that your donation is used specifically for this project. Lets go grow 1000 baby cupcake trees!

To celebrate the history and importance of Pease Elementary School, seeds from
Pease's grand champion heritage oak tree will be collected, grown and
distributed to Pease's students, alumni, parents, and staff. Goal: To celebrate the history and importance
of Pease Elementary School, seeds from
Pease's grand champion heritage oak tree (the Cupcake Tree) will
be collected, propagated into saplings,

and
distributed to Pease's final roster of students,
alumni, parents, and staff. Deliverable: TreeFolks will coordinate a two yearlong
program to collect ~1,000 seeds from
Pease's heritage oak tree, grow them at the
TreeFolks ranch, and distribute them to
community members at a celebration event
during the following tree planting seasons. For more information on how to donate to this program visit www.Treefolks.org/give and on the donation page under "what inspired you to give today" option, select "a piece of pease". While there will be no charge to get a Pease Tree of your own we are asking you to help, if you can with a donation if you can help.

If you are downtown today, please join us for the reading of the Cupcake Tree proclamation at council. 🌳

Details below!

“It is recommended you arrive between 5-5:15 PM. Council tries to start proclamations at 5:30 PM, but sometimes the meeting runs past. City Hall address is 301 W 2nd St. The entrance to the parking garage is located on Guadalupe between 2nd and Cesar Chavez. There is parking in the garage in any non-reserved spots. If there is an attendant requesting payment for parking as you access the garage, please tell them that you are here for the council meeting and need a parking ticket. Please bring your parking ticket with you into City Hall to be validated. Take the steps or elevator to the ground floor and enter into City Hall on the Cesar Chavez side of the building. Attendees will be required to pass through a metal detector. The council chamber is located on the 1st floor off the foyer. From the foyer, you can view and hear the meeting to know when proclamations will begin. No food or drink is allowed in the chamber, but can be consumed in the foyer.

Parking validation: There is a table as you enter the chamber to validate your parking ticket.”
