Our volunteer Rachel Carnahan-Metzger, a hospital social worker, testified before the Senate Health and Human Services Committee in support of legislation to rein in unfair “facility fees” - extra charges that patients usually have to pay out-of-pocket that help big health care companies bump up their profits.

We’re working to prevent these unjustified fees from hurting patients and raising the price of health care. As part of that campaign, we’re collecting stories from people like you who might have gotten an unexpected fee on your bill.

Your story could help us prevent providers from charging unjustified fees to medical bills. We’re collecting stories from people like you who might have gotten an unexpected fee on your bill.
