Don Emilio is an elder at Kalpulli Texas Quetzalcoatl, living here in Texas for more then 30 years. He has dedicated his life to humble service, family, and community. Now, it is our turn to stand beside him.

Today we are asking for your support, Don Emilio on July 28th was detained by ICE and is being held by immigration authorities, his family is now facing an incredibly difficult situation. Alongside his detainment, he is also currently experiencing some serious health issues concerning his recent diagnosis of Diabetes. As well as experiencing horrible living conditions in the ICE detention center he is being held in. We are raising funds to help with his legal expenses and support his family as they work to bring him home safely.

To tell you more about Don Emilio, he has always shown up when his community has needed him. From watering the community garden, to planting our community trees and waking up extra early to light the sweat lodge fire. His kindness, humility, and willingness to serve have made him someone our community deeply respects and loves.

This is our opportunity to practice the same reciprocity that Don Emilio has shown us.

When one of our elders needs us, we come together and we care for them.

Don Emilio is a respected elder and longtime member of our community, he is a humble, hardworking, and caring person who has spent his life showing up for his family and community alongside with his wife Maria Quiroz.

Today we are asking for your support, Don Emilio has been detained by ICE and is being held by immigration authorities, his family is now facing an incredibly difficult situation. We will be gathering again for the next Well-Being Circle on Sunday May 17th from 1-5pm ⭕️🌿🤲🏽 There will will free therapies, music, cacao, art, children’s activities, lotería, danza, talks, sound healing, and much more. Bring your family and bring your elders, all are welcome to this community event at the Kalpulli 💚

Nos reuniremos nuevamente para el próximo Círculo Comunitario de Salud Natural el domingo 17 de mayo de 1-5pm ⭕️🌿🤲🏽 Habrá terapias gratuitas, música, cacao, arte, actividades para niños, lotería, danza, pláticas, sonoterapía y mucho más. Traigan a su familia y a sus mayores, todos son bienvenidos a este evento comunitario en el Kalpulli 💚
