We’re excited to welcome these wonderful individuals to our board!
Catherine Moats is a mother of two, 4.5 and 2.5, and has been in Austin 13 years. She is a kick-box trainer part time, but her main focus is taking care of the littles. She has a huge heart for children! “I organically connected to The David Philips Foundation through fate. I signed the kids up for the New Years Run this year then joined in for the Turkey Run, met Manny, started learning more about what the foundation does and stands for and instantly felt a connection.”
Claire Moses lives in Austin with her husband, Kevin and two kids- Aiden (5) and George (2). “My amazing sister, Lauren connected me with the organization and Alli years ago and I have followed the wonderful work y’all have done. [In January] my kids got to participate in their first run and it was such a treat to get them involved!!”
Ellie Phillips is the daughter of Allison and David Phillips. She grew up in Austin, and is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Sustainability and Geography. “I work for Austin Youth Fitness as a coach and currently intern on an urban farm here in Austin called Boggy Creek Farm. I enjoy all things outdoors and moving my body, and am excited to be able to provide that same joy to kids.”
Zoe Scurletis is a licensed clinical social worker based in Austin, Texas. Her path to becoming a psychotherapist was shaped by her own experience with grief in 2017, which deepened her commitment to supporting others through loss and life transitions. She works with clients in private practice and volunteers each summer at a children’s grief camp. Outside of her clinical work, Zoe enjoys running along the Lady Bird Lake trail and practicing yoga at Black Swan. Zoe connected with Allison Phillips at an event hosted in partnership with the David Phillips Foundation, Austin Youth Fitness, and Experience Camps. After learning more about DPF’s mission, she knew she wanted to get involved. As an athlete herself, Zoe is inspired by the foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of children through sport and play.
