⚾️ COACHES SPOTLIGHT: MEET COACH O! ⚾️

As we charge into an exciting post-season, we are thrilled to launch our new "Coaches Spotlight" series! GEAYA runs entirely on the help of our volunteer families. Whether stepping up as a head coach, assistant, umpire, or team parent, our families make Mabson Field one of the best places to play baseball in Austin! Our young athletes thank you! 🙌

To kick off the series, meet Coach Otilio Juarez (Coach O), a league volunteer since 2023! This season, he is balancing roles as an umpire and an assistant coach for three teams (he has three kids in Little League right now)!

We caught up with him for a quick interview, and here is a sneak peek:

👉 Q: Why do you coach Little League Baseball?

"It started with coaching my oldest, and I quickly realized that being on the field was much more important to me than sitting in the stands. Now, I’m lucky enough to be coaching all three of my kids!"

👉 Q: What do you love most about coaching?

"I really enjoy watching the growth and development of each player. It’s amazing to witness their progress from the beginning of the season to the end..."

Happy Mother’s Day from the GEAYA Family!

Today we celebrate all the incredible moms, grandmothers, aunts, guardians, and mother figures who make our GEAYA community so special.

From early morning games and practices to cheering from the stands, organizing snacks, washing uniforms, and supporting every player through every inning — your love and dedication make youth sports possible.

We appreciate everything you do for GEAYA and our East Austin community.

Hoy celebramos a todas las increíbles mamás, abuelas, tías, tutoras y figuras maternas que hacen tan especial a nuestra comunidad de GEAYA.

Desde los juegos y prácticas temprano por la mañana hasta apoyar desde las gradas, organizar meriendas, lavar uniformes y acompañar a cada jugador en cada entrada — su amor y dedicación hacen posible el deporte juvenil.

Gracias por todos los sacrificios, el apoyo y las sonrisas que brindan a nuestros jugadores y familias cada temporada.

PLAY BALL! ⚾️🏆

What an incredible Opening Day 2026 at Mabson Field! We are making history this year with our largest season yet—13 teams taking the field!

The action kicked off with a thriller between The Blueberries (TB03) and The Bluebonnets (TB01). In true Tee Ball fashion, it ended in a 100-100 tie! Actually, every Tee Ball game somehow ended with that exact same score!

A new season is here at Greater East Austin Youth Association! ⚽⚾🏈
Youth sports help build confidence, teamwork and character. We’re proud to head into this season with Spectrum as a partner. Their support helps strengthen the programs that bring our players, coaches and families together, both on and off the field.
Here’s to a season full of growth, teamwork and fun. Let’s play!

Headline: Smile for the Camera! 📸 ⚾

We are thrilled to announce that Picture Day 2026 is happening on Opening Day, March 28th!

We are incredibly lucky to have our very own Coach Nick Berard—an amazing professional photographer—donating his time and talent once again. Last fall, thanks to your support, we raised over $1,100 for GEAYA! Let’s beat that record this year!
