We have an update for you.
Many have been asking about this year's fundraiser. As you know, we've been busting our butts for the last five years to put the benefit together. We are endlessly grateful to everyone who has helped in any way, large or small. This year, we decided to take a breather, to regroup, retool, rethink, and rebuild the event with a larger focus and the partnership of BCRC, and hopefully these efforts will result in a larger impact going forward.
However, many people have been asking how they can still support the Breast Cancer Resource Center . We love that and we love you for it! We do have a wonderful and very meaningful way to do that this year:
Meet Deahni Henninger. On February 24, 2021, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a stage 4 metastatic patient that will be in chemo for the remainder of her life. Until last September, things were ok. That's when treatment stopped working and she started a much more intense chemo regimen and things got rocky. She is now unexpectedly a single mother to her 10 year old son, and her sister has moved in to help her through treatment and to care for her son, Tyson. Treatment has been very, very hard on her body. She has been and continues to go through literal hell. She's fighting for her life.
