Recently, Dustin and Brandon (our new lived-experience partner) had the opportunity to share at .crown.city.church during their Lea(r)n In session.

They each shared some of their story, a quick overview of the current homelessness landscape in our city, and a little about our mission to co-create environments of healing and belonging by neighboring well.

We look forward to seeing how this awesome congregation continues to be a faithful presence in Austin as they walk alongside those on the margins.

The one-day retreat in Houston was just what we needed. Thank you to and for creating this beautiful space that reminded us who we are and what we can build together.

The best way to start this Good Friday, Broderick’s BreakFEAST with neighbors.

One neighbor contributed eggs. Another donated the coffee. A couple others ran out to grab syrup since we didn’t have enough for all of the pancakes. Broderick handled the Blackstone. Friends helped serve.

We had a fabulous time at the neighborhood-wide Super Bowl party! Plenty of pizza, snacks, drinks, and trash talking to go around.

Glimmers of hope (belated January edition)

✨Delivering late night food to a couple of neighbors
✨Celebrating our missional friends at their wedding!

January was long and hard in lots of ways, but we’re leaning into community and reminding ourselves to do what we can, where we can.

We hope you're taking care of yourself and looking out for your neighbors, friends.

We’re in this together. 🫶🏼

After our church’s Christmas Eve Eve service, we got to help our good friend and neighbor tackle some cleaning and organizing in his home. Another one of our friends/ neighbors helped too.

Our girls jumped in to sweep, mop, and scrub, and never complained (which is not the case when they’re asked to clean their room).

We are all so honored to be invited into people’s lives in this way. To be on the journey together through the highest highs and the lowest lows. To rally around one another as family. To bear witness to the pain and struggle. To stick together through it all and then see the moments when life gets better again. So, so thankful.
