Last week we took Maggie in for a holter monitor test because she is positive for Chagas Disease (more on Chagas to come) and has shown signs that made us concerned that her heart might not be healthy enough to go under anesthesia right now. We are so glad we did it because the results confirmed that we need to wait and continue her treatment for a few more months to get her heart in a better place before she gets spayed.

Chagas has become a significant problem for us, especially with dogs in Texas.
We will have more posts and info to explain more about Chagas, but in the meantime, please help us continue providing care for these sweet dogs by donating through the link in our bio or our Venmo: fieldtofamilydogs

Boogie, the 14.5 year old legend, has joined our pack! She is not up for adoption as we have completely fallen in love with this girl. She has hung up her hunting boots but she is spunky and enjoys short walks and lots of treats😋
