The great people at Musically Fed along with Luck Family Foundation, along with other organizations, have put together a donation drive that is a mobile food distribution for our out-of-work industry friends and gig workers in Austin on Saturday, April 17th. This effort is in concert with the Long Live Music series at the Long Center that started yesterday with Patty Griffin and continues today with Billy Strings.
This project is currently recruiting volunteers for the inventory & sorting of donated food items for that effort and we’re reaching out to all of you to let you know if you would like to volunteer and help in this effort, you can sign up HERE- https://linktr.ee/TMWC

Below is a brief run down of the Musically Fed: Austin Mobile Distrubution.
Musically Fed: Austin Mobile Distrubution Volunteer Recruitment
Hello! Musically Fed is seeking volunteers for our mobile distribution. The event, in partnership with Rhino Staging, C3 Presents, Insomniac Cares, Just a Bunch of Roadies, SIMS Foundation, The Long Center, and The Amplified Sound Coalition, is happening Saturday, April 17, 2021 at The Long Center in Austin, TX ~ the Live Music Capital of the World!
Musically Fed is a 501(c)(3) that in "normal times" works with artists, promoters, management and venues nationwide to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed the homeless, hungry, and food insecure.
When the pandemic hit and the touring industry shut down, we shifted our focus to the many music industry workers that are without food or decent nourishment due to COVID-19. Many of the people we are serving are not eligible to receive unemployment benefits and most likely will be the last to return to full time work. We have been conducting drive-through food distributions around the country in Atlanta, Minneapolis, LA, Phoenix, San Diego, Nashville, and now Austin!
All positions and shifts are unpaid volunteer-based and will be at The Long Center. Volunteers may be cut early based on client/work volume and/or at the shift Supervisor’s discretion. All postions will require standing and lifting boxes no more than 50 lbs. *Note the Food Drive Donations Team will be positioned outdoors and work rain or shine. Parking will be available. Sign up for as many shifts as you like!
