Wildlife Management Valuation is not an exemption. Let's get that straight first.

You still pay property taxes. What changes is how your land gets appraised. Eligible acreage moves from market value to productivity value, same tax savings you'd get from traditional 1-D-1 ag.

Here's what qualifies:

Current 1-D-1 ag or timber valuation
A Wildlife Management Plan on file
At least 3 of 7 approved practices carried out annually
Filed before May 1
