Martin is Chair of the Windsor Park Climate Committee, WPNA Past President, District 4 rep of the Mueller Commission, and writes the 'Meet Your Neighbor' column for the Window on Windsor newsletter. He is co-host of the Windsor Park Climate Conversation YouTube channel, with panelists ranging from Climate Scientist Katharine Hayhoe to policymaker US Congressman Lloyd Doggett. He is credited with creating the first Climate Resolution in the history of Neighborhood Associations and was the WPNA Neighborhood Hero of 2022.

The first action of the Climate Committee was to create a Climate Resolution for Windsor Park Neighborhood Association that we could use to petition our elected officials for climate action. On May 11, 2019 the Resolution passed unanimously, becoming the first Neighborhood Association Climate Resolution in America. We have been following it ever since.
