Ten years 🥹
It’s hard to put into words what the last decade with Team Arete has meant to me.
What started as an idea became a family. We’ve celebrated victories, overcome disappointments, traveled the country, and watched young climbers grow into incredible athletes—and even better people.
To every athlete, parent, family, and coach who believed in this program: thank you. You gave this team its heart, and I’ll always be grateful. I love this community more than words can express.
After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to close Team Arete.
After years of navigating the politics that can come with competitive climbing, I’ve realized I want to spend my time and energy doing what I love most - coaching athletes. That shift in focus ultimately led me to this decision.
This isn’t goodbye.
I’m launching .climbing (Competitive Climbing Prep Academy) A private 1-on-1 coaching program built for serious competitive climbers who want individualized coaching to reach their highest potential.
To everyone who has been part of Team Arete over the last 10 years: thank you. Thank you for your trust, your hard work, your friendship, and for allowing me to be part of your journey. I’ll carry this chapter with me forever.
Team Arete may be coming to an end, but my passion for developing competitive climbers is stronger than ever.
