We focus on restoring capacity first—so existing skills and abilities can actually be used. King Global Ministries is a mission-driven STEAM nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas. We exist to end shame experiences through practical acts of self-love by restoring the capacity people need to learn, work, and function reliably after prolonged adversity. Many individuals who have lived through
long-term stress or hardship are capable, motivated, and skilled, yet struggle to consistently access their abilities under pressure. When the body remains in survival mode, training, credentials, and effort alone are often not enough. Our work focuses on restoring regulation and steadiness first—so existing skills, learning, and talent can actually be used. We deliver inclusive, non-evangelistic, evidence-informed programs designed for broad public participation across backgrounds. Our integrated STEAM program portfolio includes ForestRx™, a nature-based capacity restoration program; W.I.L.D. Love Hiking, which helps participants recognize and interrupt shame-based responses; access supports that address technology and math barriers; and arts-based cultural initiatives that reduce shame and restore dignity at the community level. King Global Ministries does not provide therapy, treatment, or job training. Instead, we restore the foundational conditions that make learning, reliability, and progress possible—upstream work that supports long-term stability and participation in everyday life. We believe dignity is not earned through performance. It is restored through capacity.
