This win is a critical step in protecting voters’ access to the ballot. Black-led organizations on the ground continue to lead the fight for fair, accessible, and equitable elections.

Texas deserves fair representation, and that starts with fair maps.

Right now, our communities are being silenced by unfair redistricting maps that dilute the voting power of people of color and undermine the democratic process. These maps don’t reflect the reality of our state’s growth, diversity, or voices.

But we have a chance to fight back. Today the Texas Black Action Fund is in Austin for the congressional redistricting hearing to uplift the voices of Black Texans and advocate for fair maps!
