Did you know Texas ranks 49th among states for services and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)—while thousands of Texans remain on lengthy waiting lists for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

For people with disabilities and their families, these aren’t just statistics. They represent years of waiting for the supports people need to live, work, participate, and thrive in their communities.
Arc of the Capital Area is committed to raising awareness, advocating for meaningful change, and making sure Texans with IDD have access to the supports they deserve.
