Color Arc Productions returns to the AARC Asian American Resource Center - City of Austin with a new live script reading of ROMEO AND KATRINA on Saturday, Sept 26 from 3-5pm. Set four years post-Hurricane Katrina, our story crosses the Mississippi River to bridge two lovers from Westbank and Eastbank New Orleans: Romeo Tran and Katrina "Trina" Batiste. Romeo and Trina's relationship grows amidst the backdrop of New Orleans’ post-Katrina recovery and the Saints’ storied ascent to Superbowl glory.

Performed by an all-Vietnamese American and Black cast of Austin actors, ROMEO AND KATRINA is an uplifting exploration of community, life, and finding light in dark places. It is inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.

Content Warning: To tell this story authentically, it addresses central themes of su***de and grief.

Tickets are FREE with RSVP. Link in bio.

In November 2025, Color Arc Productions hosted our 3rd Annual Stories About storytelling show: STORIES ABOUT UNIQUE JOBS. We featured a do******ix, failed nun, US Navy Chief, and the high school mascot of the Round Rock Dragons. We also revealed live on stage that Color Arc just signed a distribution agreement to stream PIZZA MY HEART on PBS. What a night!

We're back again next Thursday, June 18 at Afs Cinema with our 4th Annual Stories About show: STORIES ABOUT PIZZA. Join us!

PIZZA MY HEART will play on the big screen for the last time at STORIES ABOUT PIZZA on Thursday, June 18 at AFS Cinema. Thank you to our Community Partners who believed in our film, promoted it, programmed it, screened it, and are now streaming it on PBS! Stay tuned for our next short film SWEET POTATO PIG (), which follows a Vietnamese American grandma's immigrant story through her food memories.
