OPEN CALL FOR STORIES ABOUT PIZZA! Color Arc Productions is seeking original solo acts inspired by PIZZA that run 60 seconds or less. Your Pizza Piece can be poetry, flash fiction, true tales, comedy, music, beatboxing, dance, you name it! If selected, you’ll perform in a live speed round of Pizza Pieces at AFS Cinema, right after a screening of Color Arc's award-winning short film PIZZA MY HEART. Thanks to Austin PBS, our distribution partner & presenting station, PIZZA MY HEART is now streaming nationwide on the PBS app!

Thanks to our event sponsor Via 313, Austin's mainstay for genuine Detroit-style pizza, each Pizza Performer will receive a Via 313 gift card!

TIMELINE:

🍕NOW: Submissions open
🍕April 20, 2026: Submissions close (or as soon as we get 100 submissions)
🍕May 4, 2026: Artist notifications (we plan to select 30-50 Pizza Performers)
🍕June 18, 2026: Live show at AFS Cinema at 7:30pm
