Sometimes, the biggest changes begin with simply showing up. 💙

When Avery and Maya* met their CASA volunteer, Lauren, their lives were filled with uncertainty and change. By showing up week after week, Lauren built trust, brought consistency, and advocated for the girls. One day, Avery proudly took Lauren's hand and led her through her school, showing her classroom.

A small moment that reflected something big: trust, confidence, and stability taking root.

What a few incredible days together! 🤗

Thank you to everyone who joined us in San Marcos for the 2026 Texas CASA Conference and brought this year’s theme, Advocacy in Motion: Moving with Purpose and Heart, to life.

To the 145 CASA volunteers, 356 local program staff and board members, and 24 partners who joined us — thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, stories, and passion for this work. We’re grateful for every conversation, connection, and moment of inspiration.

We’re so proud to be part of a network that continues to show up, learn together, and move forward with purpose and heart for children and families. Thank you for making this conference so special. 🤝

We're hiring! Texas CASA is looking for a Communications Manager to join our External Relations team.

This Austin-based, hybrid role (two days in office) is for a writer with design chops who can craft communications in a variety of voices. You'll shape print and digital materials, lead our social media, and help tell the story of Texas CASA to audiences across the state — from the local programs we support to stakeholders and the general public.

💼 Salary: $75,000–$80,000

Meet 21-year-old Alizeah, a former KVUE Forever Families feature who was just adopted! 🎉

In 2023 she shared her interest in animals and hopes to find a forever home with Hannah Rucker News, and three years later that dream became a reality. 👨‍👩‍👧 "Old teachers, CASA workers, caseworkers, children from her former group homes and new family members all joined together in the courtroom and via Zoom," writes Hannah Rucker.

"Never give up, ever. Even when you're on your last straw, don't do it. That's what I did, I was gonna give up, and it happened for me," she said. "And whatever is meant for you will still come because I pushed them away multiple times, and they still came."
