We’re looking for an EmpowerED Apprentice Catalyst who will play a key role in supporting our early childhood apprentice teachers in their daily classroom practice and the implementation of RISE’s anti-racist pedagogy into their work with young children. The Apprentice Catalyst will act as an on-site coach supporting six to ten early childhood apprentice teachers on a one-on-one basis.
This role provides in-classroom observations, real-time coaching using RISE Way practices, and guidance to strengthen apprentices’ teaching skills, professional growth, and pedagogical beliefs as they navigate earning their CDAs. This role requires the catalyst to build trusting relationships, help apprentices set goals, monitor progress of apprentices, lead recitation sessions, and collaborate with program managers for additional apprentice support.
The EmpowerED Apprentice Catalyst also supports the Program Director in maintaining Apprentice documentation and data collection and will assume increased responsibility in building and sustaining the first ever early childhood apprenticeship program in the Austin, Texas area.
