Families facing financial hardship often have access to inexpensive, highly processed foods, but limited access to fresh, nutrient-dense options. That's not a personal failure. It's a systems challenge.

At Sunday Lunchbox, we work to break the connection between economic insecurity and nutritional inequity by delivering whole, plant-rich foods directly to families every Sunday.

Because every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, not just get by.

💚🌽 Turn Surplus Into Sustenance. Help Us Preserve the Harvest. 🍅🌿

When fresh produce arrives faster than it can be distributed, our Preserve volunteers step in to make sure good food doesn't go to waste.

By chopping, slicing, freeze-drying, and packaging fruits and vegetables, volunteers help extend the life of nutritious food so families can enjoy it long after harvest season ends.

It's a hands-on way to reduce food waste, support local families, and make a lasting impact in our community.

💚 2,561 pounds. One month. Countless possibilities. 💚

In July, Sunday Lunchbox distributed 2,561 pounds of produce to families across our community.

From tomatoes and squash to herbs and a variety of preserved foods, every pound represented nutritious food finding its way to a family instead of going to waste.

This impact is only possible because of the volunteers, donors, and community partners who believe good food should nourish people, not landfills.

Thank you for helping us turn rescued produce into opportunities for healthier meals, fuller pantries, and stronger communities. 🍅🥬🧅

🍅🧅🥬 Fresh from the field and into the hands of local families.

This week, families received a colorful mix of onions, shallots, squash, tomatoes, lettuce, and basil, along with a variety of preserved foods to help stretch healthy meals even further.

Every fruit and vegetable distributed represents food rescued, waste reduced, and neighbors supported. 💚

Thank you to our volunteers, donors, and partners who help make this work possible.
