Help your unhoused neighbors stay cool this summer!! We are collecting items and donations to build 20 portable camp air conditioners to unhoused neighbors in the northwest Austin area.

Triple digit heat is fast approaching , and many camps in the area have elderly and at-risk residents who are at much higher risk for heat related illness and death. These portable tent AC’s are an inexpensive, simple DIY solution for those without.

-usb rechargeable fans
-batteries (AA, AAA, D)
-usb portable battery packs (commonly used to charge cell phones on the go)
-small to midsized styrofoam coolers

BreakBread is launching!

A nonprofit and mutual initiative operates BY the unhoused, FOR the unhoused.

We support our community members through income generation, camp support and aide, crisis aversion, harm reduction, peer support, and public policy/advocacy.

Our pilot program partners the unhoused to housed neighbors and businesses through individual sponsorships.

Do you believe in wealth redistribution, mutual aid, equity in your community and wish to donate a portion of your overflow?
Do you have extra time you can dedicate to volunteer with us for administrative, web design, and camp outreach for your community?
Are you a nonprofit working efforts directly affecting or serving the unhoused and wish to make your community more equitable and your efforts while reducing harm by hiring an unhoused neighbor as lived experience experts for consulting services?

Meet my personal favorite guy, known and loved by all as (the famous...) BAMA🥳

Bamas style is abstract meets cartoonist with some urban flair and a taste for creating pieces that may create controversy. He says what he thinks, he means what he says, but he’s got a smile that lights up an entire street block and (though seemingly rough around the edges on his exterior), is the big brother-papa bird type figure that most ladies out here on the north side can count on to keep a watchful eye on them and make sure they’re safe.

We love Bama, both as an artist and our neighbor - and know you will too.
