An ‘affective question’ is the entry point to restorative work.

A facilitator asks it to open space for a person to name their experience in their own words. No interpretation, no judgment.

The question moves accountability from abstract to personal, and that shift is where repair becomes possible. ❤️‍🩹✨

The Annual Community Yard Sale was Amazing 🙌🏾 We were so honored to come alongside Mission Accomplished and Equidad ATX in making this event possible — what a blessing to be part of something so special!

Residents and community partners set up tables to sell items AND share resources. Free food, snow cones, archery, face paint, giant bubbles... the vibes were IMMACULATE. 🌬️🎨🏹
So much fun. So much community. So much love. 💛

What an incredible day it was to be part of this! 🙌 Being in community with so many incredible organizations, youth, and families reminded us exactly why this work matters. Thank you to African American Youth Harvest Foundation, Judge Denise Hernández, and the Transformative Youth Justice Program for creating a space where our young people could feel seen, supported, and celebrated. The purpose of this session is to help individuals and families prepare before a crisis happens.

What this session covers:

✅ Complete a Living Will
✅ Establish a Medical Directive
✅ Designate Guardianship (for minors)
✅ Learn how to avoid probate delays
✅ Protect your valuables and home from unnecessary legal complications

To our incredible Student Ambassadors — YOU DID THAT! 👏🏽✨

This year, you showed up. You stood up. You made your campuses SAFER, more inclusive, and more restorative — and that is no small thing. Watching you grow not just as program participants, but as YOUNG LEADERS on a mission? There are no words. 💛

We celebrated YOU ALL! Your hard work, your heart, your dedication to restorative justice and violence prevention! And yes, those stipends were WELL earned! 💰🎉

We give all the Glory to the Lord! Without Him none of this work would be possible! It is because of Jesus that we not only show up, but are equiped to walk this work out and pour into our community!

A massive thank you to our incredible Restorative Coordinators who poured into these students every single day — your selfless dedication does not go unnoticed. 🙏🏽

Last Friday, the community showed up and showed OUT for Austin! 🤠🎤✨

We kicked off the day at the HACA’s Mayfest Health & Wellness Event — a vibrant, western-themed gathering that brought communities together around: housing, health, financial assistance, insurance resources, and SO much more. But beyond all the fun and festivities, what you really felt was a community taking care of its own. 🐴💛

Then we carried that same energy straight to Republic Park for Saul Paul 's Dream Lab Experience, where the youth TOOK OVER! Schools came together, students played games, explored vendor tables, and filled the air with singing and dancing. Pure joy. Pure purpose.

Two events. One heartbeat. This is what community looks like when it's working — when resources meet people where they are, and when our young people are given the space to dream out loud.

We are grateful to be a part of the ecosystem that makes days like this possible. 🙌

🌵✨ Our 4th & 5th grade Student Ambassadors at Barbara Jordan didn't just celebrate Cinco de Mayo — they LED it. 🇲🇽

They taught their peers the history behind the holiday, and co-facilitated an activity about values — handing out handcrafted cactus cutouts with candy and written values, and giving prizes to students who matched one of their own. 🎉💛

We are so proud of these bold young leaders. Keep blooming! 🌵❤️
