Bataille de Vertières – November 18, 1803 🇭🇹🔥

Today we honor one of the greatest victories in world history — The Battle of Vertières, where brave Haitian freedom fighters defeated the French army and secured Haiti’s independence.

This historic victory didn’t just free a nation — it changed the world. It was the first successful slave revolution, inspiring freedom movements across the Americas and beyond.

💪🏾 Let’s remember the courage, unity, and sacrifice of those who fought for liberty.
🌍 Their legacy lives on in every Haitian and in every person who stands for justice and equality.

🇭🇹 Honoring a Hero: Jean-Jacques Dessalines 🇭🇹
On October 17, we remember Jean-Jacques Dessalines (1758–1806) — the fearless general who led Haiti to independence and became the nation’s first Emperor. His courage, sacrifice, and unshakable belief in freedom and equality changed the course of history forever.

Let’s honor his legacy by continuing to stand for justice, unity, and liberation.
