ANNOUNCEMENT!

It's taken several months and a lot of behind the scenes work but the time is here! The start of baseball season is only a few weeks away and we can tell the community is excited because yesterday we had our largest turnout for assessments in several years! Our FIRST priority is to serve our community, the CLARKDALE community! Our board of directors made the decision several months ago to charter our recreational baseball program with Little League for several reasons including:

• Little League is the largest youth sports organization in the world!
• Little League and partners with Little League provide resources to communities including registration fee assistance, equipment grants, and administrative support
• There is no bigger stage in youth sports than the Little League World Series on ESPN! Lots of pro football and baseball players have roots in Little League.
• EVERY baseball player starts their baseball journey in recreational youth baseball and being part of Little League help us make that early experience the best it can be!

THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING! Little League and recreational youth baseball are the foundation of our program but as our players grow and develop, some want advanced opportunities to develop and compete. We are excited to meet that demand with 3 advanced programs:
1. Little League All Stars - Clarkdale's first Little League All Star teams will be announced in May and we expect to have at least 3 age divisions competing this Summer!
2. Clarkdale Park Travel Teams - we will have travel teams this Fall! Tryouts will be this Summer, stay tuned for updates and tryout dates!
3. Spring Tournament Teams - all Fall Clarkdale Park Travel team players are highly encouraged to register for the Spring Little League season to qualify for All Stars. Kids that are interested in playing at a "Travel" level can test the waters by playing in a few tournaments on our Spring Clarkdale Park Tournament Teams.

Come out and support our first Spring Clarkdale Park Tournament Teams this Spring! Here are a few of the dates we are committed to playing:

8U Kid Pitch: March 4-5, April 22-23
9U: March 25-26, May 6-7
10U: March 4-5, April 22-23

Come support our community kids and enjoy some exciting kid's tournament baseball!

STAY TUNED! The Clarkdale community has a rich, deep history in baseball going back to at least the 1940's. We are looking forward to unveiling our Clarkdale Park Tournament and Travel team name and uniforms soon! We'll provide some hints along the way and look forward to unveiling our new logo drawn by the brother of our very own board members!

The future of youth baseball is bright at Clarkdale!

Who's ready for winter to be over?

WOW! Now that was some amazing 10U baseball! 3 games and 3 W’s today as we claimed 1st place in the Gold bracket of the 17 Baseball Fall State Championship! State champs 🥇. Could not be more proud of the way the Hammers played ball today. They outscored their opponents 31-14 today! And it came down to a walk-off walk with bases loaded and 2 outs to win the game 6-5!

Poor Cy had to miss out on the fun this time. He has been very sick this weekend but he was so happy to hear that I was bringing him back a 1st place ring! His presence was definitely missed, but the team still pulled through with only 9 players all day! True grit and good baseball! 💯 GOOD JOB HAMMERS! ⚒️⚒️⚒️

CLARKDALE LITTLE LEAGUE FALL BALL REGISTRATION CLOSES THIS WEEK!!!

The Little League World Series starts this Wednesday and it has been exciting watching the teams progress through district, state, and regional championships to reach this point. We have seen incredible competition and sportsmanship, accomplishment and heartbreak, and life lessons learned that all encompass what Little League baseball is all about. Join us at Clarkdale Little League this Fall as we set out on this journey to achieve great things together for our Clarkdale community!

Here are a few highlights of what you can expect this Fall:
⚾More total number of games
⚾Experience-based team placement instead of strict age cutoffs: Experienced players will have the opportunity to play up, new players have the opportunity to play with other new, less experienced players.
⚾Faster flowing games
⚾More complete inning games in the same or less time
⚾More consistent pitching in our 8 and under divisions
⚾More defensive reps in our 8 and under divisions
⚾Optional advanced skill clinics targeted to our most experienced players but open to all
⚾Coaching resources including clinics and training equipment
⚾AND MORE!!!

Registration is open online through August 19th. A late registration fee of $25 will be applied to online registrations after August 17th. Walk up registration on assessment day August 20th will incur a $40 walk up registration fee.
