Sweetwater Mission Sweetwater Mission is a non-profit charitable organization providing basic needs such as food, personal hygiene , family services, and education opportunities.

Our Mission:

Stabilizing families by preventing hunger and homelessness while transforming Lives through education and employment opportunities since 1968. Founded in 1968 to effectively assist clients in overcoming the barriers commonly associated with poverty and long-term unemployment and help them to transition toward self-sufficiency. OUR SERVICES:
• Client-Choice Food Market open Monday-Sat

urday 9:00am to 12:30pm
• Food delivery to senior citizens and disabled neighbors who live alone and have no transportation
• Clothes Closet open Monday through Saturday 9:00am to 12:30pm
• Work Training and Life Skills programs focused on transforming lives
• Financial aid provided through partnerships with social workers
• Food Stamps, Medicaid and Child Care application assistance
• Social enterprise for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness and live with disabilities
• Family coaching and support services
OUR CLIENTS:
• Food and Clothing for our low-income, disabled neighbors in Cobb and Douglas counties
• Work training and life skills programs offered to Metro Atlanta community
OUR FUNDING:
• Financially supported by churches, businesses, civic and collaborative partnerships
• No government funding. OUR NUMBERS:
• Average of 1,000,000 pounds of food distributed annually
• Average 175,000 pounds of fresh produce annually
• Average more than 100,000 clothing items annually
• Average over $100,000.00 distributed annually to prevent homelessness and stabilize families
• We operate with a staff of 5 Full-time and 6 part-time employees
• We operate with approximately 200 volunteers
• We have over 32,000 families annually
• Effectively, about every 2 ½ minutes we are open to the public, we are serving a family
• All of our families that receive food and clothing live at or below 125% of Federal Guidelines for poverty
OUR ACCOLADES:
• We are the largest distributing food pantry to the Atlanta Food Bank and in the State of Georgia

On behalf of Sweetwater Mission, we extend our sincere gratitude to Deacon Jerry Houston of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Powder Springs. We also acknowledge the Entire New Hope family And the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Ralph Steed. Thank you for your generous contribution of $2,000 and for visiting our campus this morning. Sweetwater Mission: Serving Our Community in November
Sweetwater Mission is dedicated to providing essential food services to our neighbors in need. This November, we invite you to utilize our two primary programs: the Express Food Line at our main facility and our community-based Meals on a Mission distributions.

1. Express Food Line
Our main pantry provides a consistent source of nutritious food. To serve you efficiently, please visit our Austell location during the following hours.

6130 Hotel Street, Austell, GA 30168

Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Required Documentation:
To receive food, please bring the following items with you:

A valid Photo ID

Proof of Residency (must be less than 30 days old), such as:

A utility bill or other mail

A rent receipt

A current lease agreement

Proof of Children (for any household members aged 17 and under)

2. Meals on a Mission: Community Food Distributions
We bring FREE, fresh food directly to neighborhoods across Cobb County. No pre-registration is required for these weekly events. Simply stop by one of our partner locations.
