Dear Families that are on the waiting list,

Thank you for your continued interest in the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Denver. I truly understand how important after-school care is for your families, and I want to take a moment to personally thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

I want to assure you that I’m doing everything I can to make movement on the current waitlist with the limited space and resources we have. At this time, we are at full capacity and cannot safely or effectively welcome any additional members.

I know this news is frustrating, especially for families who rely on aftercare in order to work — and I hear you. I’m working closely with my supervisor to explore options for opening more spots, but right now, I don’t have a clear timeline for when that may happen.

Please know that as soon as a spot opens up for your child, I will personally call you to let you know they can begin attending the Club. There’s nothing I want more than to welcome every child who needs our support, and I’m committed to keeping communication open and transparent.

In the meantime, I kindly ask for your continued patience. I understand many of you have been calling regularly, and while I truly appreciate how much you care, I unfortunately don’t have the ability to move students off the waitlist any faster at this time.

Thank you again for your understanding and for being part of our community. If anything changes or I have updates to share, I’ll be sure to reach out.

Gracias por su continuo interés en el Boys & Girls Club de Metro Denver. Entiendo profundamente lo importante que es el cuidado después de la escuela para sus familias, y quiero tomar un momento para agradecerles personalmente por su paciencia y comprensión durante este tiempo.

Quiero asegurarles que estoy haciendo todo lo posible para avanzar en la lista de espera con el espacio y los recursos limitados que tenemos actualmente. En este momento, estamos a plena capacidad y no podemos recibir a más miembros de manera segura o efectiva.

Sé que esta noticia puede ser frustrante, especialmente para las familias que dependen del cuidado después de la escuela para poder trabajar — y los escucho. Estoy trabajando estrechamente con mi supervisora para ver cómo podemos abrir más espacios, pero por el momento no tengo una línea de tiempo clara para cuándo eso será posible.

Por favor sepan que tan pronto como se abra un espacio para su hijo/a, yo personalmente me comunicaré con ustedes por teléfono para avisarles que pueden comenzar a asistir al Club. No hay nada que quiera más que recibir a todos los niños que necesitan nuestro apoyo, y me comprometo a mantener una comunicación abierta y honesta.

Mientras tanto, les pido amablemente que continúen teniendo paciencia. Entiendo que muchos de ustedes han estado llamando con frecuencia, y aunque agradezco su interés y preocupación, desafortunadamente no tengo la posibilidad de mover a los estudiantes de la lista de espera más rápido en este momento.

Hello families I hope everyone had a great summer! As we start up the school year, we only have a few more spots open to register your kids into club. If you need assistance with registration we will be at the school Monday July 28th from 10-1pm. If you need a time outside of that please send me an email ([email protected]) and I will get back to you to set up a time. Please don't forget that our membership fees have changed this year. There will be a one $25 registration fee per household and then it will be $20 a member per month. There is a scholarship that we can help that will be able to hopefully cover most of the cost, if not all. We will also be sending out our parent orientation PowerPoint next week where you will find a lot of information about club. There will be two days: Tuesday July 29th 6-6:30pm and Thursday July 31st 6:30-7:00pm where we'll have a zoom set up for questions or to go over anything. Will post the link on Monday. Hola familias, ¡espero que todos hayan tenido un gran verano! Al comenzar el año escolar, solo tenemos algunos lugares más disponibles para registrar a sus hijos en el club. Si necesita ayuda con la inscripción, estaremos en la escuela el lunes 28 de julio de 10 a 1 p.m. Si necesita un horario fuera de ese, por favor envíeme un correo electrónico ([email protected]) y me pondré en contacto con usted para establecer un horario. No olvide que nuestras tarifas de membresía han cambiado este año. Habrá una tarifa de inscripción de $25 por hogar y luego será de $20 por miembro al mes. Hay una beca que podemos ayudar y que, con suerte, cubrirá la mayor parte del costo, si no todo.
