What an unforgettable and proud moment for the Aurora Puerto Rican Cultural Council Royal Court! 🇵🇷❤️🤍💙

Our beautiful Queens had the incredible honor of taking the field and participating in the First Pitch Ceremony at the Chicago White Sox game! ⚾✨

We are so proud to see our Royal Court representing the Aurora Puerto Rican Cultural Council, our Puerto Rican culture, and our Aurora community on such a special stage. These are the moments and experiences that our Queens will remember for a lifetime! 👑

A HUGE THANK YOU to the Chicago White Sox organization for the invitation, warm welcome, and opportunity to give our Royal Court this amazing experience. We truly appreciate your support and hospitality! 🖤⚾

🌧️💔 We are deeply saddened to hear that our neighbor organization, Boricuas Unidos de Elgin has had to cancel their festival due to the unpredictable weather. We know how much effort goes into planning such an event, and it’s disappointing to see all that hard work go unrecognized in the way you envisioned.

Please know that we stand with you during this challenging time. Your dedication and passion for building community are truly inspiring, and we look forward to supporting you in future endeavors. Together, we’ll weather any storm! 🌈

💙 With Heavy Hearts... BoricuaFest Has Been Canceled 💙

It is with profound disappointment that we announce the cancellation of BoricuaFest due to the forecast of severe and inclement weather.

This was an incredibly difficult decision. For the past seven months, an amazing team of dedicated volunteers has poured countless hours of hard work, passion, and love into bringing BoricuaFest back after a 15-year hiatus. We know how much this event meant to our community, and we share in your sadness.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every volunteer, vendor, sponsor, community partner, and entertainment act who believed in this vision and committed their time, talent, and resources to making BoricuaFest a reality. Your support has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we are deeply grateful.

While this morning’s news is heartbreaking, our commitment to celebrating and preserving Puerto Rican culture remains stronger than ever. This is not the end of BoricuaFest; it is simply a pause.

Please stay tuned as we begin planning an even bigger and better BoricuaFest next year. We look forward to the day we can come together to celebrate our heritage, our culture, and our incredible community - quite possibly sooner than you think!
